KIOSK is a multi-disciplinary Architecture and Design Studio.
Purpose and role of the Architect in the design process
In a typical architectural project we closely discuss with our clients their requirements and out of this form a brief before providing outline and detailed designs. We advise our clients as to which other consultants are necessary for their project and work to a given budget. Assembling the necessary drawings and documents to achieve Planning and Building Control approval is part of our work as well as helping our clients to find an appropriate contractor for their needs. We produce and co-ordinate the information that the contractor requires to complete the building and throughout this process act as our clients’ agent. In some projects we facilitate Community Involvement and Participation in the design process.
Practice Profile
As an architectural practice we focus on the contemporary design in residential, community, cultural and educational projects. We also like to get involved in related design disciplines such as exhibition design and collaborations with artists and think it is important to have an open mind. Depending on the context we invite other consultants to work with us and believe that achieving excellent design is the result of a collaborative effort and that communication is key.
